The First could have been such a cool Big Bad, tbh. I think if it had been spread over the course of two seasons, it would have been better served as an antagonist, but alas.
Gosh yeah, especially when s6 wasn’t a big season villian wise until the last couple of episodes
Because in s6 it’s meant to be kind of weak and still gaining strength so it can appear as buffy and the audience could know what’s going on but the scoobies wont and it will cause tension and it can even egg Willow on in the form of Tara’s ghost when it gets to the end of the season
and it could just be little things to create tension within the scoobies and they wont know anything had happened till the first reveals itself and by then the scoobies are very unsure of themselves and then when the potentials arrive they are unsure of the potentials and then there is legroom to delve into the potential’s storyline and how they feel and how they found out and how they were brought to Sunnydale and their character andways they feel less scared and the thing that scares them the most
