For anyone wanting an update on this gorgeous soldier. He's absolutely fine, incredible actually. It was just me being a worrying mother, as usual but honestly, his scar is slightly different than the normal procedure due to his circumstance.
He had the operation Wednesday, Thursday morning, my mum told me he was acting sad and uncomfortable. I came down to check on him and he instantly brightened up. My mum *assured* me she wasn't saying it to help me through him acting bleak (he's a very lively dog. He feeds off others energy. If I'm sad he is too. So I try to be as positive as possible around him.) And for some reason that made me cry, I know he favours me a lot. But my mum is *boss* you get me? Like she is pack leader (to the 21 dog she owns) but he has a connection with me. The fact he was waiting for me, waiting to sit with me and cuddle me, made my heart melt.
As I said, I can't imagine my life without him. I can't stand to be away from him for too long, operation or not, he's my little nugget. It's silly but he's probably saved me in a lot of ways because I know he needs me (probably wouldn't miss me as much as I'd think but shhhh). Long story short; He's fine, healthy and recovering. - Ro
