@buccaneercaptain / @bloodandwinemuses asked: “I’ve never tried this spell before.”
“Oh, do not worry, it isn’t terribly difficult.” Quinn wasn’t a particularly skilled practitioner of magic but they did have their specialized expertise, enough, evidently, to attract the attentions of a sorceress. People willing to practice blood magics were rare, but extended knowledge of spells and systems was nearly nonexistent; they were the only living blood mage they knew of, and a young one at that, hardly looking like a expert in anything beyond interests of youth.
Their actions, in addition to a face yet to hollow out, belied their age. Quinn was skittish around the woman, scurrying around as they looked for materials and ingredients, fingers restless whenever they were emptied of herbs or clay. Nervous, even though this was their shop.
“If you don’t mind my asking, what are you using this spell for?” Somewhat asked of curiosity, what they could possibly be needed for, but also of business - intent was crucial in crafting anything of magic.
