Also I love how all of the attack mini games in rainbow billy suit the characters in one way or another. It’s never just “Press Z to win” its like…
Characters with fighting talent like Whabam and Bippo have you press a bunch of buttons repeatedly, reminiscent of a jabbing motion.
All of the characters with the “Best buddy” ability have their mini games mirror their respective buddies. Biki-Riki bounces up and down while Riki-Bill shuffles from side to side, Alpharoar focuses on the left of the screen while Bark focuses on the right, and while I didn’t see the difference between Clobbs and Mantadora’s mini games, they were both the same sawblade bullet-hell type of thing.
And the one that sends me the most feral? Mipsy. One button press with a small window of opportunity. At first I thought it was because Mipsy was a goat, and therefore charges at high speeds to attack, but I thought about it some more and it’s actually so cool. Mipsy has a habit of staring intensely, making others uncomfortable, but to succeed at her mini game you have to stare just as intensely as she does, blink and you might risk your window of opportunity.
I could go on, Bubboar is simple and unintelligent, Koobie is over-reliant on one thing, and Pettykott has ridiculous high expectations of herself, but I should stop here before I end up listing the symbolism behind EVERY character.
