❛ charlie, ❜ his name leaves her lips softly, like the ghost of a sweet old memory that leaves her smiling. he came. and she’s so happy to see him there. ( even in the midst of the constant whirlwind that feels like uncertainty, a threat of destruction to everything she knows. ) it gives her something to cling to, someone that was more important to her grandmother than he ever even realized. the music chosen was pretty, but it didn’t really do much to fill the void; a hole in her heart that would never really quite be full. and even if she hadn’t seen him in a long time, she felt like he belonged there.
the hug she gives him comes naturally, and she fits her head right against his chest just like she remembers it.
❛ -------- she’d be happy you came. ❜
