Have you seen the latest news about btsaificrecs, the blog that reblogs supposedly AI-written fics to “expose” their authors? The real motive behind the account is now coming to light. Several writers have reportedly received private messages saying that the reblogs would be removed in exchange for money. So apparently, this was never really about exposing AI—it looks like it may have been a scam all along.
WOAH WHAT?! i had not heard about this at all (I am not really in the btsblr community here [mainly a Twitter user] and just publish fics and reblog art/gifsets/fics from time to time) so i wasn't even aware of what's been going on with them after I blocked and reported them.
Once I saw that other writers were trying to reason with them when denying the allegations and they only continued to mutilate their works further, I realized it really wasn't worth the energy to fight against.
They felt like complete phonies with the "my EYES can tell it's AI! THEREFORE, THESE AUTHORS ARE USING AI! AND I WON'T TELL YOU WHO I AM! SO GOOD LUCK FIGURING IT OUT" and so on and so forth...like what...? Now it all makes sense... asking to get paid to stop them from harassing. Truly evil. BTS would not stand for this.
Would love to read more about this drama (as a chronic chismosavirus haver), but to reiterate again, 100% of my shitty writing (with many grammatical errors, one word and run-on sentences) that i release once in a blue moon is me, or at times, some sentences that @/daegudrama helped me write when helping edit my messy fics in my google docs haha
