If you are just starting to explore the world of painting or have dabbled in oil and acrylic paints, as a first time artist you will most likely start out with a mix of quality brushes (synthetic and natural hair brushes) and hog hair brushes (your standard kit set).
Realistically, anyone who is just starting out will have more hog hair brushes because they are cheaper. However, that does not mean that you should not take care of them the same way you would for an expensive brush.
