The concept of this brunch entitled the GourMed Brunch has a Live band in the terrace, a Pass Around food that can come anytime to your table,  buffet for the appetizer, dessert and some drinks and lastly the main course is in Ala Carte menu which is served in mini portions so you may want to try them all. We have tried few of them namely: Lamb chops, Homemade ravioli, Roasted organic chermoula salmon, Tuna fillet and Sauteed garlic shrimp. I guess they have the finest selection for this course because they all tasted rich and delicious. Each dishes were beautifully plated!

Upon entrance there’s a cute photo frame that anyone can capture a memory from Basilico. The flooring is wooden and the buffet is completely all over the place. It’s very spacious with nice table set-ups.

You will most likely want to be seated outside because of it’s fascinating sea and resort views. The weather was so good that makes the ambiance so perfect for a delightful family brunch and enjoy some catchy Spanish songs that’s so pleasant to the ears.

Well our son Hamza, started his own meal already while I was still checking out the menu for the main course. A plate of pizza with mozzarella stick was placed in front of him. It’s like they know his favourite and the happiness on his face cannot be measured!

I walked back inside to look around more of the buffet after I ordered our main course. So you’ll get a little bit of everything from Italy, France, Spain and a few from Arabic and Indian cuisines and even Sushi.

You’ll get to see the busy open-kitchen also from there and the staffs are non-stop serving customers. They have an on-going competition about this brunch. Just take a photo/selfie during your brunch in Basilico and upload it on Instagram with the hashtag #GourMedBasilico and tag Cove Rotana Resort with 2 tagged friends. Horizon Restaurant has started a brunch called Ali Baba. A Friday Brunch welcoming mostly family ones. I was excited to see what they have in-stored for kids on this. Treasure hunt was playing on my mind or might be a genie playing some magic tricks. It has revealed everything to me last Friday during our staycation in Khalidiya Palace.
