Co-Star Astrology App March Writing Challenge: Day 3

I spilled a lot of personal tea and came to a point of acceptance about why I operate the way I do.

A scheduled meeting with a friend over brunch turned into an intellectual and spiritually-charged after-set at a local bar. Platinum Girl Scout Cookies serenaded us in the car, then we headed into the watering hole for a Spanish coffee.

As the cookies and coffee kicked in, we began to open up and be vulnerable about a lot of life experiences and where we are in relation to them now.

I didn’t expect the conversation to take a deep dive but the safe space between the both of us had been established ions ago. A Capricorn and a Leo have so much in common when it comes to processing past experiences from an intellectual perspective.

She spoke about the ills of dealing with egotistical men in the workplace and how threatened they are by a feminine perspective. We exchanged war stories alike in that department, as well as understanding why the social crews of the past have disengaged now. Realizing that most of us made comraderie from misery and once it started to way too heavy on the both of us we chucked the deuces. Then we segued into the “knowing” we’ve had since adolescence of our “other-ness” and how we came to grips with it and our families learned to just deal with it, especially concerning giving up a devout Christian lifestyle. We’re both wild-child, hipster types who are very comfortable in this skin.

The floodgates needed to open for us to have a better understanding of the energy connection we are trying to engage and maintain between the both of us, plus with the people around us who will be instrumental in helping us with the project we are working on. Also, I loooooove receiving great book recommendations and I’m expecting said book to be delivered any minute now.
