I have thoughts about Bruce who was molested as a kid (I mean practically canon) going back in time to shortly after his parents died and no-one want to touch him so older Bruce who looks enough like Thomas for young Bruce to be able to pretend tenderly fingering his younger self and thinking of it as selfcare.
Older Bruce vividly remembering the feeling of being small and alone in a manor that's more like a crypt. When the wound of his parents' death was so fresh it hadn't even stopped bleeding yet, and the house still echoed with the sounds of their existence, how different it could've been.
Bruce thinking, as he modifies old confiscated tech to take him back, that if he had someone who had shown him even the slightest bit more affection, maybe it all could've turned out different. Maybe going back to save Martha and Thomas has never worked out... but this could.
And maybe, when Bruce wakes his younger self up from a restless sleep by pulling his pajama pants down—holding him against his chest, pressing fingers inside, it'll be just like Bruce remembers, but gentler, nicer. He's even kissing away the little tear tracks, whispering that it's okay, he'll be okay. It's almost certainly the most affection younger Bruce has gotten since that night, and that's basically self-care.
