“Bruce.”

-looks to the right, then frowns, then looks back- “ ... Bruce Kent?”

▌Do you know why you were called that?

“People keep asking. It’s because the name means forest and when I was a baby, I would cry until my parents brought me to a forest. They’d later learn that I was just not reacting well to all the noise in the city. A forest’s quiet, considerably. Kent is the last name of my human parents. I keep that.”

▌Are you single or taken?

“I like somebody.”

▌Have any abilities or powers?

“Ah not ... really. Just that healing factor and ... good hearing. I guess I can fly. Move a little faster than humans do. Things like that.”

“Grey? White?”

▌How about your hair colour?

-blinks- “It’s short and grey.”

▌Have you any family members?

“Yeah, quite a few. There’s Damien, and Dae, and Belle, and her children, and Ezayne, and his children, and Neela I guess, and Izaic stayed a few nights, and, oh then there’s Charlotte. I don’t think we’re family but I think she’s very important, so. And then there’s Nica, of course.”

“Uuuum ... I don’t like when people get hurt or are unhappy.”

“Yeah. I love making candy. And to be with Charlotte and Izaic and ... my family I guess.”

“Yeah ... But she hurt me first and we were fighting.”

“A mouse.”

“I like to hoard soft things and ingredients I can make candy with. And I get scared a lot.”

“Oh, depends. I like to wear poncho’s and in general, just things with lots of pockets. I like my hero suit. It’s easier to fly with it. But when I’m on the ground, poncho’s. Best in black.

“M-hm.”

“Pie?” -wipes his eye- “Pie is great. You’re supposed to eat it together. Like with friends and - “ -lower lip trembles-

“Um, anywhere ... where I can see the stars. And ... I guess Metro Tower?”

“M-hm. Izaic.”

“I don’t like water. And I can’t swim.”

“My type. In people? Just ... some that are genuinely kind and don’t mean ill.”

Bruce sees Bernard as a lost child that needs guidance. With Metro Man’s powers Bernard can be very dangerous, which is why he was wary at first, but soon regret that and pushed the feeling aside. 

Children, no matter how powerful, need to be cared for. Metro Man is from the same same planet Bruce is from, and with Bernard having a similar powerset, Bruce takes full responsibility in taking care of him until someone else turns out to be more suitable or Bernard decides he doesn’t need Bruce’ guidance any longer.

food headcanons!

Bruce hates vegetables, like all bats do, really. They’re no part at all in their natural diet and yet every time it lands on their plates it makes him, Belle and Charles look like they’re just spoiled three-year-olds that want to get to dessert straight away.

Nica doesn’t like too big animals or feathered ones, actually. She needs months to digest them and is feeling tired in the meantime. 

For Bun, there is only pizza. The rest can go to hell for all he cares - or become part of pizza.

Madeleine doesn’t like anything that’s sour, Reese doesn’t trust the flavor of mango’s and Mars hates everything that is overly green. Broccoli and cucumber, to name a few. He can like them for their health beneficial value and knows he should probably eat them but rather than eating these he would make up the molecules in them that his body needs and take them in form of pills. Belle disapproves. 

Dae and Damien don’t like everything overly sweet and have to get warm with some homecooked meals that they’re simply not used to. Stew, for example.
