oh my god,,, I am SO excited!!!!

oop sorry i wish i had one on hand! i was just thinking about how sentimental value and all of us strangers have very different angles on adulthood reconciliation with parents and are sort of variously asking, like. if apology is possible and what kind and what it can actually accomplish or not accomplish. which is something i would love to explore more in movies and books! i feel like i've seen a lot of big cathartic apologies, or a refusal of apology that the child has to accept. it's really interesting to me to be like "well even if you got these forms of apology you want they might not do what you want them to and maybe never could, so what remains?" and i'm sure there are many other great movies looking at this but i'm not enough of a filmer knower to list them off the top of my head :/ will have to research

Something about that paint poring, slick like cum, running like amniotic fluid, like holy water. Something about sacrament, about sensuality, about birth. To see the sun rise, as you’re covered and unrecognisable, drums thumping a new collective heartbeat, and to hope this connection will last a little longer than the abeer staining your skin.

Generally I’d agree but like, I just want more stuff to look at... not necessarily more people to interact with.

Someone else actually mentioned it to me today, all I can say is it makes sense and it also makes sense how Hollywood and lit scholars would 100% ignore it
