Brown numbers and why they're the coolest thing ever
Alright, so there's probably nothing particularly special about 5, 4 and 11, 5 and 71, 7 yeah? Nah, mate. Those are Brown numbers, a.k.a. the only known (and possibly only) solutions to Brocard's problem, which asks whether integers, n, m, exist such that n!+1=m^2 (where n! is the factorial*). Think about it. Calculations have been performed for n up to 10^9 and no other solutions have been found. Seriously.
