Move Mountains - Turritella Agate Sterling Silver Necklace
Agate comes in a wide variety of colors and patterns and is most typically associated with volcanic rock formation. It has been recovered at a number of ancient archeological sites, especially in Greece. Agate was most commonly used in hardstone carvings- which refers to objects carved from gemstones. These objects were often highly prized and attributed with special powers or religious significance.
Turritella agate is an extraordinarily unique variety of agate- those swirling brown shapes come from fossilizes snail shells!
This one of a kind, bezel-set sterling silver necklace was made by hand in our Long Beach Island studio. It features a piece of turritella agate, with a series of mountains and stars stamped on the back.
The pendant measures approximately 1.25” x 1” and comes on an 18” sterling chain.

So i decided to redesign some of my characters, Andesine (Again!!), and Zebra Jasper. I didnt want to just post them by them selves so i did i fusion of them named Brown agate. I had a hard time deciding what their fusion should be, originally it was cuprite but after i added green that didnt really work, so i mixed red and green, which made a brown, and black and white, which made a gray. I decided i wanted it to be more brown so i decided on brown agate. I really like how the fusion came out. She wouldnt be very stable because all 3 personalities are very different, i feel she would almost be like an unstable opal, quiet and strong but has continuous outbursts and fits. Her design and mostly her expression is quite melancholy and i feel that works really well.
