omg i spent so long 100%ing every nook and cranny before the final fight that the two final fights barely even took me a singular minute. i walked into that fight like a godðŸ˜
"it is said that his real purpose in summoning the castle was to give miriam a place of her own, but as his magi-crystal disease progressed, he soon forgot his own reasoning. the more he surrounded himself with hell-spawn, the quicker the magi-crystals engulfed his body. he continues to plot the downfall of man, and how to best convince (or use) miriam to achieve his dark ambition." <- TAKEN FROM THE WIKI
ANYWAYS FUCK MY ENTIRE LIFE. HE INITIALLY SUMMONED THE FUCKING CASTLE SO MIRIAM COULD FINALLY HAVE A TRUE HOME OF HER OWN AFTER HE DESTROYED THE PLACE WHERE THE ALCHEMY GUILD KEPT THEM FOR ALL THEIR LIVES WHATTHE FUCKKCJFCFK
sick and twisted how the alchemy guild picked up orphans like miriam and gebel to experiment on and torture because they knew there was no family to mourn them
my friends. miriam and gebel :D

on the topic of missed potential. gebel's original intent to use his power to hunt down the alchemists that forcibly imbued the shardbinder power in all the kids and sacrificed them to summon demons for their own selfish gain isn't unreasonable. i wish that gray area could've been explored a little more. imagine some fucking people traumatize and torture you, your sister, and all the other kids around you with no remorse, for your entire life? it really isn't that unreasonable to want revenge on them. all this to say that the cutscene where gebel asks miriam to join him in his goal because she's the only other person that would truly understand him destroys me every time. he's taken aback when she rejects his offer because he genuinely doesn't understand why she would do so. why would she pass up on the chance to exact revenge on those that hurt them so badly? but another thing he doesn't understand is how his desire for revenge is swallowing him whole. sure, he feels powerful right now, in this moment, in which he has all this support and backup from demons. but what will he do once the people he wants to exact revenge on are dead? how can he simply just have the demons return to where they came from? what will he do with his life from then on? miriam wants the world to heal from what the alchemist guild, and now gebel, have done to it. through the world healing, she can begin her own healing as well. but gebel isn't looking at his life beyond the need to fulfill his desire for revenge. it's heartbreaking. he's stopped caring for the lives of others (and unbeknownst to him, his own as well) because nobody cared for his, or miriam's, or the other kids' when they were suffering, so why should he care? all that matters to him is killing the ones that made him suffer. this fucking game man
thinking about miriam and gebel makes me so sad. countless kids were sacrificed by the alchemy guild (only as a stupid scare tactic to summon demons from hell in order to try and prevent the rise of technology in fear that theyd become obsolete) AFTER being forcibly imbued with the shardbinder power. they had to watch all of the other kids suffer and die like flies. they had no childhood. gebel was the only child that (BARELY) survived the sacrifice ceremony while miriam fell into a deep sleep which spared her from the ceremony. they were all each other had. even though other adults were kind to them, they would never understand the pain only the shardbinder kids could feel. imagine how scared miriam felt when waking up, wondering where her brother gebel was, where she was, why she looked different than she remembered, how much time had passed, how old was she, and not knowing the state of the world. a whole decade was robbed from her. all her memories of life have been mainly painful but she had gebel to get through it. her whole life, she's thought herself a monster because of her shardbinding powers connecting her to demons. but gebel always told her that she wasn't a monster, that she was human and did not have to earn the right to live or redeem herself to be human. in a sense, he saved her. the irony of gebel now, 10 years later, losing his humanity to the very power that he urged miriam did not make her any less human. the irony of miriam having to now fight her only family to save him from completely losing his humanity. and the worst part? she's doing this to fufill a promise that GEBEL had them make as kids. he told her that if he ever succumbed to the shardbinding power, to either bring him to his senses, or, if all else failed, to kill him. haha dramatic irony foreshadowing etc etc etc (EXPLODES
I don’t know what I equipped to make this happen but her eyes are glowing now? I am but a simple enby with simple likes and this game provides them for me
