I did @thunderc1an‘s warrior maker game on a whim so here’s my blog as a warrior cat. Turned out better than I thought! Made her all wispy and watery because..well, that’s my whole blog’s aesthetic.

I finally drew how I’d look like as a cat. Her design is based off my aesthetic (esp with the colours) - special thanks to Bea who designed the icons for me!

Brooklight: brook because I was pretty sure there should be some kind of water reference but river/stream etc doesn’t sound right/too forceful. I was also pretty sure there would be a “b” sound so I kept looking at the list of b-words, but couldn’t find anything until I came across brook.

Originally played around with affixes like sky, dream, mist, but those were far too melodramatic. Thought of a -step suffix because step gives the sense of someone who’s down-to-earth, grounded and who ultimately will take action, yet also having a sense of lightness. Scraped it because Brookstep made me think of someone trying to walk in water/underwater.

Brook: (n.) a small, natural stream of water, (v.) to bear/endure/tolerate. Brook reminds me of a quiet strength/endurance. Brooklight reminds me of the shine and ripple of light scattering on water.

“Gives me an ethereal feel, yet the “brook” makes it slightly more rugged and capable.”

Reflected in Pinefur having brown fur, Cloudheart having white fur and blue eyes, Lionstar having a calico coat.

Rookfire:

Rooks are known for their intelligence. They’re associated with seeking knowledge of the present, future and hereafter. They’re also associated with hidden knowledge and foretelling the future. The Roman Emperor Domitian had a pet crow who could talk, but would only say, “All will be well”. Also a symbol of hope as well as procrastination.

Reminds me of someone who’s quick-thinking and fiery.
