A-T-3 318 Eyeless In Gaza / Bron Area
Two related acts from the Nuneaton that also have connections with In Embrace and Kevin Harrison
Bron Area were singed to Glass Records like In Embrace. They were Steven Parker, Chris Duane (who was in Reluctant Stereotypes with EIG's Martin Bates), and Martin Packwood (who plays on Martin Bates' solo albums.) The Trees And The Villages was Bron Areas final offering, it contains the wonderful Dancing
Elegy To Innocence
and In Victory. The album is on bandcamp here https://glassredux.bandcamp.com/album/the-trees-and-the-villages
Eyeless In Gaza (named after the Aldous Huxley novel) are Martin Bates and Peter Becker and they had a deal with Malvern's Cherry Red Records. Like with many band in the UK coming from a political and militant punk scene by 1983, with the success of Scritti Politti and many others transitioning to pop they began to lighten (sort of)
Here's Scent Of Evening Air which was a b-side of the New Risen 12" single that comes from their Rust Red September album
Stealing Autumn. Rust Red September as the title suggests is preoccupied with autumn and I would of shared it in the autumn if I had had some time... poor me, eh?
and September Hills
