Daehee was grateful that for once his fight had been cancelled and he had the evening to himself with full pay since every won helped and with the bonus of not having to work for it, it was like Christmas had come early. He had changed back into his regular clothes and pushed his piercings back through the holes before heading outside only to be met with the sight of a stranger hanging around the entrance.

— Listening to the other male, Jaewon tried to imagine it but it was hard when he could hear everything, all the small and loud noises that his friend will never be able to. His words remind him of one time when he was brutally attacked just because he was gay. He was unrecognizable by the time they finished with him and Jaewon remembered how he only thing he could hear for some time was high noise inside of his head and nothing else. He could only hope that Chinhae doesn’t hear it like that, that it’s better for him.

“If I could, I would give you my hearing.” Jaewon whispered even though there was no need to it. For Chinhae was enough to see his lips, to be able to read what Jaewon was saying. He covered his friend’s ears with his own hands, smiling softly at the other. He wanted to help him somehow, anyhow but didn’t know what to do. Was there a way for his friend to hear again? Jaewon wished there was because he was ready to do anything to help him.
