“Lovely!” Miranda quipped in return, puffing her fins up in what one could argue was pride. She took one of the tickets in her hand and traded it off to Liam, who would be able to see the title of the play—”Esk’lug pel Deinnae”—which was obviously written in a more merperson-centric language than anything resembling english. Thankfully, the rest of the ticket was written in simple english, so there would be no worry in otherwise deciphering it. If Liam had ever learned to read the dialects of the different portions of Miranda’s kingdom, he would probably recognize it as having a rough meaning of “Tailors of brine”, which has distinct connotations of fate and the negative, at least in the section of the kingdom where the language came from (although it wasn’t a saying in itself, which still left the plot a mystery).
“The show starts at around seven- it’ll be a bit of a ride there and the two of us will need to get well settled in before it really kicks off, so... We should meet up and head out that way around five o’clock, I would say? Where should I pick you up?” Miranda did perk up, obviously remembering something, and quickly added on, “Oh, and do bring your best attire, this is... A place with monsters that will rather harshly judge even your handsome self’s fashion choices. If you need, I can offer you some outfits if you wish?”
