So we know Alastor and Lilith disappeared at the same time 7 years ago. And we know that Lucifer had a meeting with Heaven which began the exterminations. We don't know when that happened though. Either they're not mentioning when the exterminations started because they've always happened or because revealing when they started would give too much away and make it too easy to guess things. All Charlie knows is that Lucifer went to the meeting and she assumes he gave the go ahead for exterminations. But the exterminations haven't always happened. They only started after the angels, or specifically Sera I think considering no other angels knew about it, became afraid of the power and influence Lilith had over the demons.
My current theory is that that meeting was called between Sera, Adam, and Lucifer because Alastor and Lilith were planning on working together with him broadcasting her voice on his radio station to inspire the other demons to rise to war against the angels. I think Sera demanded that Lilith and Alastor be separated with Lilith making a deal with Adam to stay in heaven where she can't empower any other demons with her voice or even contact anyone in hell and that Sera demanded the exterminations happen as well in order to not only lessen the demons' power but also instill fear in them in an attempt to prevent future uprisings. I think Alastor was given the options of either be killed or sign a contract limiting his power and requiring him to stay away for a while so that their little idea of rebellion is forgotten amongst the masses. I especially think that because of Zestial's comment about folks thinking Alastor had fallen to holy arms. Maybe Sera is his contract holder. That or they tried to straight up kill him and he somehow escaped barely alive and it's taken this long for him to heal and regain enough power for him to feel comfortable revealing himself to society. But trying to kill him wouldn't explain the contact or his need to 'unclip his wings'.
Also I'm in this fckin discord for HB and I've been scrollin thru the discussion thread for EP 8 and there are certain ppl that absolutely kill me. Like ohhh woooowww you're sooooo β¨specialβ¨ because you hate stolitz woooowwww
Stfu they're literally a main ship of the whole show. "tHeYrE tOxIc/uNhEaLtHy blah blah blah" THE SHOW IS LITERALLY ABOUT DEMONS IN HELL. NONE OF THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE HEALTHY. EVERYONE IS FUCKED UP AND TRAUMATIZED AND NOT GOING ABOUT THINGS THE 'PROPER' WAY. IF YOU DONT WANT TO WATCH IT GO WATCH LITERALLY ANY OTHER SHOW THIS ISNT FOR YOU.
I feel like swinging a bat at a hornets nest so I'll say the quiet part out loud. A lot of y'all are bein aphobic as hell when it comes to Alastor. Alastor is seen to act repulsed multiple times in the show when other characters have suggested sexual acts with him and between that and his being confirmed ace, the fact that Alastors tag is still full of smutty fics just shows that you don't respect the character or folks on the ace spectrum at all. Yes, some ace folks aren't sex repulsed but Alastor clearly isn't one of those folks and y'all doing gymnastics to try to justify your constant objectification of our only confirmed ace character says a lot about y'all and how little y'all respect us.
Y'all are doing the exact thing to Alastor that so many of us on the ace spectrum fear from those around us every single day. You don't care about the character at all, you only care about how you wish he would fuck you and there's literally a whole show of other characters you can do that with that isn't the only confirmed ace character.

I can't properly credit them cause it was an anonymous ask but I just saw it and one of the points they made was so good I had to give it it's own post.
If you like Alastor but you don't wanna respect his canon asexuality nor the fact that he regularly responds to sexual suggestions with disgust in canon, then do you actually like Alastor or do you just like your oc who looks like Alastor and acts nothing like him?

Random crazy Alastor ideas idk I'm just spitting things out tryina brainstorm about Alastor and his deal
He somehow got up to heaven at the same time as Lilith. Maybe he was secretly following somehow? Maybe she saved Alastors life during all of it for a deal? Maybe she figured out he was following her and she allowed him to come with her for his soul? Maybe Lilith ordered him to go back down to help Charlie?
Maybe they ran together? Maybe Lilith turned to Alastor for help to escape up there some time after her divorcing Lucifer? Maybe along the way she either saved him for a deal or found out something about him like a weakness or something about his past?
What happened with her and Adam? What deal did they have? Was it something like specifically not going after Charlie during the exterminations? Did she get some kind of dirt on him or threaten his life? Did she threaten Eve? Does she have Eve held hostage so she can reside in Heaven and they don't go after Charlie? (Crackpot theory what if she's seduced Eve and now theyre together and Eve made Adam make a deal with Lilith)
Also I saw someone else say they think Alastor wants to defeat/become god and honestly I believe it. He wants full and total control and power.
