the image of blood dripping down the shield stays implanted in his mind, the holder so far from worthy he thinks even the government will begin to see it.

walker’s trial is tomorrow.  he wants to be nowhere near washington d.c.  he just wants to be curled up on the couch with the record player blasting alpine curled up on his chest. . .
