Uncanny valley means that something is CREEPY. It doesn’t mean it’s a good imitation. It means it’s a terrible imitation that fucks up something fundamental and inspires dread and horror. It has everything to do with her skin color because these writers are racist as shit and they’ve proven that over and over and OVER again.

If you think there’s nothing wrong with making a Black girl a robot created to serve humanity AND naming her “creepy and inhuman” AND having her get murdered on screen by a white boy that we’re then supposed to feel sorry for, you need to rethink your life choices.

Just. Think. About the character. For five minutes. Think about her names, both of them, think about the way she’s whitewashed when she’s a hero, think about the way she’s treated within the episode, think about it. Just for five minutes. Think critically.

And then stop defending racism.

The writers do not have “good intentions” for the character. She is a Black girl that they made into a robot and gave her Special™ eyes and whitewashed her and then had her be murdered by a white boy and then the focus of her murder is on how sad it makes the white boy.

Literally just use your brain for five minutes and actually think about the problem at hand instead of snapping to defend it without pausing to consider what you’re defending.

And these writers have already made SEVERAL references to Final Fantasy. Because they’re lazy shits who are desperately trying to piggyback off the fame and popularity of other franchises. Everything I’ve heard about her just makes it even more likely that she’s named after FFX.

Unpopular opinion: i think sabrina overreacts a bit. She shouldn't sob every single time chloe says something mean to her- sometimes it's not even mean, just blunt. In mayura sabrina offered her a cookie and chloe said "i won't take a risk with home-made food" because she's used to eating professionally prepared & fancy food and sabrina should have probably known that by then, -she offered them anyway. It doesn't excuse chloe but sabrina often takes things too personally

Okay well in general, if someone says something mean to someone else and it hurts their feelings, than it hurts their feelings. To say someone is overreacting is dismissing their hurt. Even if it seems small and no big deal to someone else.

Now for this specific case, I’m pretty sure this is only the second time Sabrina ever cried, so there’s that. Also everything you said is just a wild amount of victim blaming. She shouldn’t sob every time Chloe says something mean? Well maybe Chloe should stop being mean for a start. 

There was nothing blunt about what Chloe said about the cookies, it was purely mean spirited. You could tell with how she said it, with that dismissive tone she always uses with Sabrina. Even if Chloe is unaware that she comes off that way, mean is mean, and shouldn’t she be aware by now? And trying harder? Saying it’s just because she’s used to having food prepared for her is a stretch at best considering Chloe just always treats Sabrina like this in any given situation. I’m kind of flabbergasted you turned this situation around to make Sabrina look like the bad friend here. ‘She should know by now that Chloe only eats fancy food.’ Okay, so Sabrina had it coming I guess?

Okay, I have a legit question for you: why did you feel like you needed to post this? Like, seriously, I’m confused. All of those posts? Are from when I was liveblogging the episode and I was reacting to what Chloe was doing on the screen. I stopped posting hours ago, so I’m honestly not sure what you’re trying to achieve. I’m not posting anything relating to Miraculous Ladybug at the moment, so it’s not like I’m posting anything relating to ml spoilers or Chloe at the moment. What, do you want me to go back and change the tags on them? Because ml spoilers isn’t a general tag, like miraculous ladybug or adrien agreste is. It’s like the anti tags, so you can blacklist it.
