We’ve been able to visit Gandalf but he’s not ready to come home yet. The vet needs to keep him another day and provide more treatment. With that of course, the bill goes up. I was reading your Martian fic yesterday and just about threw my phone out the window when I saw the literal actual name of the church my parents go to + the name of their actual facebook page + a fairly accurate description of the gym. Really great fic, I love that style of sort of epistolary fic. Very immersive, this one was just WAY more immersive than I expected 😅
I gotta ask, was that just a coincidence or are you familiar with that church?
Oh my god that’s so funny! I’ve never been to that church, and I don’t think I actually know anyone in Spokane. If I remember correctly, I think I was just google image searching for ~vibes and trying to recreate what people’s Facebook feeds would look like. So I’m sure I probably saw a pic of the church and followed the link to the Facebook page? I feel like this is the fic-version of the uncanny valley.
