The family of Matan Angrest has released a still photo from a Hamas propaganda video of him. They say he has been held for a long time in a dark cellar with little air, and is suffering from untreated severe burns and bruises as well as harm to his eyes as a result of injuries he sustained during his kidnapping from a burning IDF tank in Nahal Oz on 10/7. This comes after released hostages have said captured soldiers are being tortured by Hamas for intelligence. Angrest is reportedly forced to treat his injuries by himself and is being purposely starved by his Hamas captors. We’ve been able to visit Gandalf but he’s not ready to come home yet. The vet needs to keep him another day and provide more treatment. With that of course, the bill goes up. We’re hoping he’s able to properly express himself (pee on his own) overnight and come home tomorrow for my birthday. But we’re very worried about how much more needs done.
