I just know that the knew Disney princess is going to give me a huge headache
#it's going to make people go oH Al AnDaLuS wAs So gReAT fUcKinG sPAniArDs dEsTroYeD iT#bringalandalusback#and I'll have to sit through people not understanding that while al andalus was comparatively better than post catholic monarchs spain it#was established through sheer conquering killing pagans oppressing (sometimes persecuting) christians/jews and economically pressuring them#to convert#like Granada wasn't 95% muslim by 1492 for nothing lol#the majority of those people had been forced to convert generations ago
