it was right around this time that my coworker sent me this on Slack:

and my brain subsequently BROKE

then ten minutes after I finished processing THAT, my dad sends me this, which happens to be a picture of him and my mom breaking into a church (they didn’t have keys and were doing an event there) (I think I’m okay sharing this since you can only see their butts and no one’s face but regardless maybe don’t reblog this):

so of course I told everyone I was talking to about ALL OF THIS and their responses also made me laugh because everyone I know is hilarious

coworker J also at some point in here was sending me furby monstrosities (also her “embarrassing” favor was just that she wanted help taking pics of her gorgeous knitting and she offered me a smoothie as payment, which, girl, no, I will take iPhone pictures of things you made and aren’t selling for free)

also I fully admitted to her that I had been talking to my friend about her cat’s butthole. she was impressed by her timing.

ANYWAY

this is mostly done but I do have to show you my brother’s response to the first picture, that was the start of this chaos. “H” is his girlfriend.

and then to top it all off, I demanded a print of the picture of my mom and dad breaking into a church, and my mom apparently found this hilarious and demanded that this be the caption. she attributed the quote to my 93-year-old grandfather (he's "R").

also, that window leads into the men’s restroom.

and then after this we went to a “hot chocolate bar” in the lobby of our building where we drank too much hot chocolate and ate too many cookies and one of my other coworkers got me to essentially write her essays about the backstory of everyone in Middle-Earth.
