Out of curiosity, what made you choose Brindleface and Goldenflower as your pair? I haven't seen much of them as a ship and it intrigues me!
I really love trans Brindleface, and I knew I wanted Goldenflower paired with another molly. They clicked well for me, my friend agreed, and as a bonus, it worked perfectly for figuring out family trees. There will be a lot of surrogates in this story, but honestly, it's easier to make trees when you don't have to keep in mind all the cats who have kits that they didn't raise but are still related to them.Bonus tidbit, since I never found a way to include it in the story: Goldenflower and Lionheart's parents are Smallnose and Patchpelt, with Dappletail acting as surrogate for them. Brindleface, Frostfur, and Larktail's parents are Brightnose (Flashnose) and Thymefur (Tawnyspots).
did some doodles of riftclan cats last night and colored them today... i really like these. also used them to test some redesigns a little bit, i especially like pikapelt's (also i'm renaming her to cavernpool)
RiftClan warriors part 2/2!Â
- Brightnose, a shy and sweet hunter with a hidden snarkier side that takes no bullshit.
- Puddlepelt, a chill and fun-loving scout with a fierce protectiveness and scorching temper hidden under her cool exterior.
- Flamefoot, a code-obsessed-hunter who just wants to be as successful as her parents and make her mother proud, hopefully by becoming deputy one day. Her heartâs in the right place, but she doesnât realize how badly she hurts the cats in her way until she accidentally causes her brotherâs banishment.
- Grassripple, a very reserved (and some would say quite boring) scout who is actually an irredeemable gossip and seems to have trouble fitting in with anyone but her mate Oceaneyes and her cousin Flamefoot.
- Oceaneyes, a very jaded, snarky, tempermental fighter. Being half-kittypet didnât make life easy for her, and her brother leaving to join their father made it even less so (even though Meadowmoth never revealed their father to the clan, most saw her taking trips to twolegplace and put two and two together). She spent her entire apprenticeship working to prove herself to her Clan, and never became close to anyone but Grassripple, the only cat who can calm her fury.
