A few weeks later and I started to feel ill, I knew exactly why. I think the worst part about it though was that I had no clue who’s it was. Chris and I had used protection but then again it only works a certain percentage of the time and Henry and I also used protection too because we wanted to wait until Luna was a child before having another kid. I couldn’t bring myself to tell Henry until I knew for sure. 

Things around home didn’t change though, as no one knew what had happened. Luna was aging up soon and Henry was still busy at work. I was almost finished with my maternity leave and couldn’t wait to have something else to do to get my mind off of what I had done. 

It wasn’t great, but also not horrible. All I knew was that I felt horribly sick every day after. I felt engulfed in guilt and didn’t know how I could have done something so horrible to Henry. 

The whole thing was quick and somewhat unenjoyable. He was passionate and it was what I had wanted to feel from Henry for the longest time but never got. As things progressed though, I completely forgot about Henry and was fully involved in what was happening no matter how wrong it was. 

I called him up as soon as Henry left. I was dumb. I knew that. I knew I was making a horrible decision. Why I did, I still don’t know. Maybe it felt like I wasn’t getting the romantic things that I wanted, or because Henry wasn’t as aggressive or romantic as I had wanted him to be. I didn’t know. All I knew was that I was about to make the worst decision of my life. 

Henry came home one day from work and told me that he had an office party that night. I was going to be alone in the house other than with Luna. I knew what I was going to do, it was a horrible decision but I knew. I didn’t really want him to suspect anything, so I made sure that there would be no loose ends. 

I got a call from an unsuspecting person later that day. I didn’t even think he knew I was still alive. It made me excited but also made me incredibly nauseous. All of my feelings for him came flooding back even though they really shouldn’t have. Picking up that phone was a mistake, I would learn that much later.
