Song in the beginning: Good 4 U by Olivia Rodrigo
Warnings: Smut/mentions of abuse
______
Maybe I'm too emotional
But your apathy's like a wound in salt
Maybe I'm too emotional
Or maybe you never cared at all
Maybe I'm too emotional
Your apathy's like a wound in salt
Maybe I'm too emotional
Or maybe you never cared at all
Well good for you
You look happy and healthy, not me
If you ever cared to ask
Good for you
You're doing great out there without me, baby
Like a damn sociopath
I've lost my mind
I've spent the night
Crying on the floor of my bathroom
But you're so unaffected, I really don't get it
But I guess good for you
2 weeks. You had been back two weeks, and Aro, Marcus, and Caius had been subjected to the random assortment of breakup songs to fuck you songs coming from your room.
Aro sighed and turned to Marcus, who was looking as if he would rather be literally anywhere else.
“I sense my sister is in a bad mood today.”
Marcus rolled his eyes before glaring at Caius who had a hand over his face.
“I wonder what gave it away? Maybe today’s song of the day?”
Aro leaned back in his chair with a wince on his face.
“I wish she would just tell me whoever offended her so I could take care of it. I don’t like seeing her so…out of sorts.”
Aro was used to you being bubbly and happy. This was totally opposite of your normally cheerful behavior. Knowing some man caused this made it even worse. All Aro wanted to do was protect you and keep you safe. After Didyme (and Aro’s regret of his own actions) he decided to make it his priority to keep you safe and happy. Right now he was failing at the happy part.
Glancing over to Caius, who was looking super annoyed too, Aro decided to try again. Caius was usually in a bad mood on a good day. Today he was almost insufferable. Unfortunately, Aro didn’t know that he was looking at the psychopath who hurt you.
“Do you have any idea? The two of you talk a lot.”
Caius shook his head.
“Aro, I do not have the mental capacity today.”
Aro sighed. He had noticed that Caius, too, had been more hateful than normal.
“I swear, everyone is so damn grumpy.”
Marcus held a hand up. He was seconds away from spilling everyone’s secrets, so this drama fest could be over or, at least, be in the process of working itself out
“Aro, let her sort through whatever is going on. If Y/n needs you to sort whatever it is out, she will let you know. As she told you, turn off the older brother and just deal with this…whatever it is.”
“I don’t have to like it.”
Aro said stubbornly. Caius, meanwhile, wanted nothing more than to be deaf.
Correction, I want to go in there and show her exactly what I’m made of.
He thought coldly. Caius was tired of the way you were looking at him. He was tired of how ALL of the women in the coven were looking at him!
You had been back a few days when Caius walked into the throne room where you sat whispering to Heidi, Jane, Renata, Corin, and Demetri. All five people automatically looked at him like a herd of wild lionesses ready to kill someone over their “baby.” The only one that didn’t look ready to kill him was Demetri, who looked at him sympathetically.
Since then no woman in the coven has spoken to him. Caius didn’t necessarily mind that. He was being left out of stupid endless chatter. What he did mind was how anytime he came into a room you were in, you automatically left with a herd of followers.
Had he brought this on himself? Maybe? Maybe you were right about him needing to ditch Athenadora long before he did. He couldn’t pinpoint when their relationship fell apart but it was many MANY years ago. Neither wanted the other but was too lazy to end it. Athenadora liked playing queen and Caius stuck around for the sex (until you took that).
Caius knew he had feelings for you a long time before he ever touched you. You were the one to take care of him when he was nearly killed by werewolves, not Athenadora. You had been so sweet and gentle. Maybe that was when Caius’ feelings for you started? He got a glimpse of what it could be like to have someone who actually cares for you. Now he had fallen in love with you and look where it got him.
He tried to tell himself that it wasn’t his fault that he didn’t know how to love someone properly. Love for him had always been possession and physical. Now that he had someone who looked past all of this rather poor personality traits, maybe love wouldn’t be so bad.
Hell, I’ve ruined things.
“I have something to do.”
Caius mumbled to Aro before getting up and walking out. He needed to talk to you. There was to be no more pussyfooting around.
Knocking on your door, Caius stood tapping his foot impatiently.
“Y/n, I need to talk to you.”
After a few moments, Sulpicia stepped out of her chambers.
“She isn’t here. She left the music on to annoy Aro because he’s annoying her.”
Caius shook his head in defeat before following Sulpicia into her room. Sulpicia went back to applying her makeup and pretending Caius wasn’t there. She knew everything but was trying to keep her mouth shut. Hiding things from Aro was beginning to be difficult and she wasn’t sure how much longer you could shield your brother from everything.
“Where is she?”
Sulpicia’s red eyes rolled up.
“Heidi took her shopping. She needed to get out. Are you going to talk to her about the little argument?”
Caius sighed. He was surprised your sister-in-law wasn’t trying to claw his eyes out. Sulpicia, like Aro, was beyond overprotective of you.
“I suppose you know.”
Sulpicia applied her lipstick before speaking.
“Yes, indeed. We all, except Aro for obvious reasons, know. I don’t think you handled any of that right. I’m telling you the same thing that I told Y/n. The two of you never should have had an affair until Athenadora was out of the picture. I don’t care for that open relationship nonsense. It was a ticket to cheat for both of you, and you know it. Unfortunately, Y/n was on the receiving end of it.”
Caius felt the annoyance starting to build.
“Maybe so, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t love Y/n. She deserved better, but if she had held on…”
“For what? For you to get that stick out of your ass and man up enough to claim her as yours? You were too busy sitting pretty while having two women. Y/n, whether you will admit it or not, has cared for you for a long time. She was the one who took care of you after the werewolf incident….not Athenadora. That woman didn’t even know anything happened until you were well and didn’t care.”
Sulpicia hissed. She ignored how Caius was glaring at her.
“I want to make things right with her. She wants us to be like Marcus and Didyme. I’m not like Marcus.”
Sulpicia snorted before moving onto her hair.
“No, you’re not, but you can be a different man to her. She isn’t asking you to stop being you. If she wanted another man, she would have. I would remember that. I have a question, if this is love, why does it scare you so?”
Caius stood stubbornly silent for a moment.
“I don’t know how to answer that.”
Sulpicia turned with a cold stare.
“I suggest you figure it out before wasting her time. Everything you have ever done, you have done for yourself. Put Y/n first for once. Aro will put things together soon enough.”
“Are you threatening me?”
Caius asked, coldly. Sulpicia nodded.
“Do what you will with it. You know how Aro is over Y/n.”
Caius turned and left the room without another word. He couldn’t handle talking to Sulpicia any longer. While he understood why she was hostile, it was downright annoying at the same time.
For the rest of the afternoon, Caius was in a mood from hell. He sat listening to Aro chat away to Demetri over something. Caius didn’t even bother listening. He was too busy feeling pissy about Sulpicia calling him out about being selfish and, unfortunately, being correct.
The throne room doors opened, and you stepped in with Alec on your heels.
“It’s not like it will even do me any good.”
Alec commented as Aro sat up straight. He was hoping someone would finally talk to him.
“What isn’t doing you any good?”
Alec groaned as you gently rubbed his arm.
“I have unfortunately fallen in love with a girl, except she’s human.”
“You know the rules!”
Caius snapped. You have Caius a glare that made him stop. Alec nodded before turning to Aro.
“Can we change her? She’s so pretty, and I don’t think I have felt like this before…”
Caius opened his mouth to speak again, but you held a hand up. Had it been anyone else, Caius would have just continued talking.
“Let him be. Alec, if you change her, please don’t play mind games. Either man up and be with her or don’t; no one likes being strung along.”
Caius’ mouth dropped. Here you were taunting him in front of everyone. You were about to be burned from playing with fire.
“Be prepared Alec. Women are exhausting.”
You spun around, ignoring everyone’s uncomfortable expression. Aro stood up, holding up a finger. You didn’t give him a chance to get a word out before snapping at Caius.
“You're a fine one to talk about being exhausting.”
Caius glared at you from his place on his throne.
“And you are trying what patience I have”
You chuckled, wondering how easy it would be to lay this man out.
“I think you and I need to have a talk”
Caius was on his feet and down to you in an instant.
“I think we do”
He snapped, wrapping a hand around your arm. The whole way, the two of you hurled insults at each other.
Demetri and Felix fought back chuckles while Heidi groaned.
“I think we found out who Y/n is sleeping with.”
Aro, looking horrified, moved to go after the two of you but was stopped by Sulpicia.
“You don’t want to do that. You’re not that cool.”
(Meanwhile)
Still hurling insults at each other, you followed Caius to his chamber.
“You are the most insufferable man that I have ever come across.”
Caius put a hand on his chest dramatically before opening the door to his chambers.
“Me? Right back at you, sweetheart! You have driven me absolutely mad the past few weeks. Do you think I haven’t caught the message in all of your little fuck you playlist? Well, I have. Now get in.”
“I would love to!”
You snapped walking in. Caius shook his head, muttering “Time to straighten this girl out.”
Shutting the door behind, Caius turned back to face you.
“Do you think it’s been easy? Seeing you nearly naked in lingerie that you are only supposed to wear for me, where every man in the world can see? Now I find out you slept with Stefan! You know how I feel about him!”
You nodded, stepping closer, poking him in the chest.
“Damn right, I do! Why do you care so much? Oh, are you jealous?”
Caius reached out, grabbing you so hard that if you could bruise, you would have finger marks. Pulling you against him, his red eyes were once again the angriest you had ever seen.
“Damn, right I’m jealous. That little freak touched you. You’re mine.”
In the heat of the moment, you reached up, pulling his body closer.
“Prove it!”
Caius had his hand around your neck in an instant. His eyes glared down into yours. You swallowed, trying to push him away but was unsuccessful.
“Oh, I am. I’m going to prove it to you until you can’t cross your legs for a week. You’re going to know exactly what I’m made of.”
“Yeah, show me what you’re made of.”
You said in a mocking tone.
Caius reached down, tugging your dress until the fabric tore. His eyes fluttered down your body, stopping at the way your breasts heaved each time he tightened his hold on your neck.
“Oh, I will be…my precious sweetheart. I should lay you across my lap and spank you.”
“Wouldn’t be the first time.”
You replied, reaching out to push his black suit jacket off.
“If you destroy this shirt, I will spank you.”
Caius snapped, moving your hands away. He reached out, shoving you to the bed. Caius quickly undressed the rest of the way before taking his place on top of you.
“I’m getting Stefan’s scent off of you. That worthless bastard never should have touched you to begin with. You’re mine, Y/n, and I’m never backing away again. If you leave me again, I will track you down. I don’t care what fucking corner of the earth you’re in.”
His eyes flickered down your body, looking the lingerie over.
“If you show another man these beauties that are all mine, it won’t be pretty.”
Caius shoved you backwards on the bed. Tearing off your thongs in one swipe, he spread your legs.
“Of course you’re wet for me. Did you get wet for him like this?”
The sneer in his tone made you sigh.
“Caius, no. This isn’t fair.”
Caius spread your legs and bit down on your thigh. You gasped as he worked his way to your pussy.
“What isn’t fair is knowing you slept with someone I hate.”
He glared up at you again before finally licking over your mound. Gasping, you tried to wiggle away from the instant gratification.
“Be fucking still.”
Caius growled as he began to lick hungrily at your clit. He alternated from teasing licks to sucking harshly. The moment his middle and index fingers pushed inside, you could have come but knew better than not to.
When it wasn’t rough, angry sex, Caius couldn't care less how many times you came. Right now, you knew better. From your place, you watched as his head moved between your legs.
“Did you touch yourself like this?”
Caius smirked at how your eyes were closed, clearly focused on not coming.
“No…,just you.”
You whimpered. Enjoying the sensation for a few moments longer, you remembered you were supposed to be angry, too.
“Why don’t you shut up and show me what you're made of already?”
You said through gritted teeth. Caius’ eyes rolled up to your face for a moment before yanking you to the floor by your thighs.
“Time to put that smart mouth to work, fucking brat.”
Before you could reply, his cock was shoved in your mouth. Caius stood and watched you with blown-out lust-filled eyes. Had he forgotten how perfect you looked on your knees before him….like a good girl.
“I swear to god if you bite me, Y/n.”
Caius growled as he reached down to grab a fistful of your hair. You gagged for a moment. Had you forgotten how difficult this position could be? Closing your eyes, you sucked obediently for a moment then twirled your tongue around the underside. You whined around him, making Caius moan.
“That's my good girl.”
He murmured before pulling your body back up to his. He missed you harshly, easing both of your bodies down the mattress. The kiss didn’t ease up as his hand closed back around your throat again.
Tangling your fingers in his now destroyed hair, you rocked your hips, hoping to get some kind of friction. You needed some friction after being eaten out like that. Caius reached down for your thigh, hiking it over his hip. He slowly stopped kissing you for a moment.
“You’re beautiful like this. Those beautiful lips all swollen and pussy soaking all for me.”
“Caius, stop being a tease.”
You said, yanking his hair. Caius growled and moved your thigh up enough to sink in. You cried out as your body stretched to accommodate him. Inch by inch, you felt your toes beginning to curl.
“Is that what you wanted?”
Caius choked out, keeping his eyes closed. He couldn’t think too much about it or he would come. It had been too long since he had been inside of you. You could only nod.
“Use your words.”
Caius said, his voice dropping an octave.
“Yes, daddy….I only want you.”
Caius’ eye snapped open as he stared at you before smirking. Leaning down, he kissed you softly.
“That’s new. Now get on top of me and ride me like you mean it.”
Caius laid bank as you took your place on top of him. It wasn’t often that he went with this position. Usually, it was when he simply wanted to admire your beauty as he fucked you. Your thighs began to shake in anticipation as you slowly sank back into his length.
You bit your lip as Caius snapped his hips.
“I said move!”
He said in that cold, authoritative tone. You did as you were told, setting up a steady rhythm that left a burn beginning to boil in your stomach.
“I’m close…please.”
You whimpered. Caius reached up, stopping you. He held your body absolutely still. His cock was nestled right against your sweet spot. If Caius were to move just a little, you could come.
“No, you’re not. Only good girls get to come. You have a lot more before you can even think about coming.”
The following few hours were a repeat of the first. Caius edged you to the brink of orgasm so many times. Each and every time, you thought he was going to be nice and let you finish, he stopped. You were nearly in tears as he stopped your next orgasm, withdrawing with a shit-eating grin on his face.
“Asshole”
You snapped, watching Caius rub his hand over his length.
“Now, that’s not very nice.”
Caius said before slapping your mound. You whimpered, trying to close your shaking thighs. If Caius was good at one thing, it was having an iron grasp on his own orgasm.
“Have you decided who you belong to? Me or the Romanian idiot?”
Caius asked, with a cold smirk. Your chest heaved, desperate to come.
“You! It’s always fucking you!”
You nearly screamed. Caius gave you a satisfied little smirk before pushing back in. This time his thrusts didn’t ease. He slammed in balls deep every time
“Too true. Everything about you is mine.”
Caius growled, biting down on your neck.
That was all I needed…
You thought before coming hard. Your body fell apart, tightening harshly around Caius.
“That is, baby…you take me so well..I can’t…”
It took a few more thrusts before Caius came, filling you. When he started to pull away, you shook your head.
“Don’t.”
Caius shrugged, rolling your body so you lay onto his. His cock still nestled against your sweet spot, hoping to earn one more orgasm whenever he had the ambition to move again. Your thighs were still trembling as he stroked a hand down your spine.
“Not until you're ready.”
He relied, wrapping his arms around your body. You didn’t want to move. As long as he was holding you, things were okay.
“I was wrong, Y/n.”
You poked your head up with a frown.
“About?”
You questioned. Caius rolled his eyes and moved to stroke your cheek.
“Everything. I did want you from the beginning and I should have told you that. I don’t know why being in love scares me.”
“You love me?”
You asked with a smirk. Caius raised an eyebrow.
“Check what I left inside of you. You’re the only woman to make me come like that.”
Rolling your eyes, you lay your head back on his chest.
“You’re such a man.”
Caius chuckled before pulling your body back to face his.
“I have to stop. I do mean it. I love you, and you’re right. I am jealous. I’m jealous of any man who touches you. I’m jealous of your friendship with Demetri and Marcus. I’m jealous of how you go to your brother for everything. If Heid were a man, I would be jealous of her too. Now I’m jealous of Stefan for touching what is mine.”
You were totally stunned by this confession! This was the most Caius ever said about his emotions.
“I don’t want them the way I want you. You don’t have to be jealous.”
You said, leaning forward to kiss Caius.
“I forever will be.”
For the moment, he wasn’t another vampire that you had known for thousands of years. He, instead, looked like an insecure young man who had never been taught how to love or be loved properly. The urge to protect him swelled up.
“Caius, I love you. I have loved you for so long. Please stop shutting me out.”
He intertwined his hand with yours. Bring each of your fingers to his mouth, he kissed each digit.
“I’ll try.”
Caius moved to pull you back into a kiss, but a loud banging on the door made the two of you freeze. Aro’s very angry voice came from the other side.
“Both of you out now!”
Caius groaned before patting your ass.
“Better get this over with. We are on the same side, right?”
You nodded, pulling your abandoned dress on.
“Yes, when I said I love you. I meant it.”
Following Caius to the door, Aro stood on the other side. His eyes were furious as he paced like a caged lion.
“In the throne room. I have things to say, and I’m not feeling too shy!”
Caius raised an eyebrow before reaching for your hand. Aro stomped ahead, nearly kicking the door off its hinges. You had seen your brother mad plenty of times, but this appeared to be one of the worst. He finally turned and stared at Caius coldly.
“It was you! You’re the one who broke her heart! You sat there and lied to me! I told you my sister was off limits. You’ve been the one sleeping with her this whole time! How long has it been going on? This ridiculous, stupid affair, and don’t get cute!”
You stepped closer to Caius, ready to throw your shield around him if you needed to. Your eyes scanned the room, looking for anyone to take your side. Unfortunately, you didn’t blame them for it; everyone was bewildered.
“Years. It isn’t some stupid affair. I love her, and she loves me. We don’t owe you anything. You may be her brother, but you can’t tell her what to do.”
Aro stomped forward and grabbed you by your hair, yanking you away from Caius, who was automatically growling. He started to reach for you, but Aro was quicker. You winced in pain, reaching for your brother’s hand, but Aro was not about to let go.
Aro reached out with his other hand, landing a singular punch to Caius’ mouth. The bloody gash on his mouth healed almost instantly.
“Aro! Aro, stop!”
You screamed as Caius ran toward you, but he was stopped by Felix. Caius’ furious eyes were locked on Aro’s face. If he needed a reason to hate the man he considered a brother, this was it.
“Let me go! Let her go, Aro!”
He yelled, trying to shove a very considered and uncomfortable Felix.
“I can’t. Just calm down.”
Caius, in fact, did not calm down; he struggled even harder against Felix while everyone else looked totally confused and afraid. No one expected to see this! This was the world-stopping event that there wasn’t a plan.
“So this is why you kept your shields up. You were protecting your little lover boy. Time for that to stop, you are never going to see him again.”
“You aren’t telling me what to do.”
You snapped, struggling against your brother for a moment before being able to get your hand free. Shoving Aro back harshly, he stumbled away, nearly falling over a motionless Ranata, who wasn’t protecting him in the slightest.
Caius had you in his arms, protectively holding your body against his. Holding out your hand, you threw your shields up around Caius and yourself. Aro managed to get himself up, looking if possible angrier. He knew attacking again would be pointless.
“Let her go or this will be a mistake.”
He said, his eyes focused on Caius. If Aro could have killed him at that moment, he would. The normally cool calculating vampire was on autopilot and replaced with sheer rage.
“Enough!”
Marcus nearly yelled. Everyone in the room, who had been one second short of panicking, stopped moving. Aro was looking between Caius and yourself furiously.
“I want you gone! She isn’t going with you. Felix”
Aro yelled. His finger was shaking angrily at Caius. He knew he would regret his decision, but at the moment, Aro couldn't care less.
Felix stood motionless.
“I can’t. I’m blocked.”
Caius kept his arms locked around you.
“Fine. I’m gone, it’s your funeral. I’m not leaving her, though. You can go to hell if you think I’m leaving her with you.”
Aro started yelling any obscenity that he could think of.
“Fine! Take her with you! Neither of you will make it!”
Caius’ eyes dropped to your face. He hated seeing the fear on it, especially being caused by your older brother.
“Keep the shield up until we are gone, love. Can you do that?”
You nodded watching as Aro grimaced when Caius called you love. Looking back to Aro once more, you frowned.
