HOW I ENDED UP DANCING ONSTAGE WITH REGGIE WATTS
May 10, 2014 -Â Here's the story of how I ended up dancing onstage with Reggie Watts at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival.
It started with a text from my comedy partner, Garrett.
We were performing together at the Curious Comedy Theater but Garrett was volunteering at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival later that night.
When I got to our show he told me we might be dancing onstage during the finale of a Reggie Watts set. After our show was over we booked it over to one venue to do some volunteering and then headed over to the Alhambra Theater. The show, an album release party for Andy Haynes, was supposed to start at 12pm. But the previous show, a Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction show, ran late. The Andy Haynes show didn't start until after 1pm. Reggie was the closing act. So for about an hour, Garrett and I, and a bunch of random people hung out backstage in a wide assortment of costumes.
Garrett brought a giant shoe, which during the show he put one leg in and attempted to tap to the beat.
Horse Face was there, as you would expect.
This giant Wizard was there.
And I was rocking my Whinnie the Pooh suit.
When they finally called us out to the stage, it was totally worth it. If you look closely in the video you can see me in my Pooh suit dancing behind Reggie. What a weird and fantastic night.
