Design for Bridge of Remembrance pod
I chose to go with the Poppy idea as it furthered the purpose of the Bridge. It will serve as a further memorial to those lost to war. The pod will be covered in plastic poppies, interlaced over the wooden framework.

Design Ideas for Bridge of Remembrance
The Bridge of Remembrance is dedicated to those who died in WW1, and serves as a memorial for those who participated in both world wars, as well as those in Borneo, Korea, Malaya and Vietnam. It was unveiled on the 11th of November, 1924. It was designed by William Gummer and Frederick George Gurnsy.Ā
The top design draws from the herringbone tiling on the Bridge of Remembrance. The pods is enhanced is mdf, cut and painted in a herringbone design.Ā
The second design draws from the intentions of the Bridge, covered in plastic poppies, serves as a further memorial for those lost to war.

The path that people will take whilst seeing all the art exhibitions and sculptures during SCAPE will bring them along this bridge. The Bridge of Remembrance is dedicated to those who dies in WWI, and serves as a memorial to this who participated in both World Wars, as well as those in Borneo, Kore, Malaya and Vietnam.
