The windows in Gwyn's suite were all thrown wide open to the summer air, filling the room with green scents and the distant sound of the band tuning up for the night. Undeath had done nothing to quell the former Seelie's enthusiasm for the season. It put him in mind of the old Beltane festivals, running wild through the lush forests of the old realm. Krovs could never quite live up to the fae's level of revelry, but this was a good start. Perhaps it was that nostalgia that set Gwyn to plucking the newest Seelie slave out of the Undercroft before the festivities began, steering Briar right into the sith's bedroom and arranging him nicely on the bed before scurrying off to find them both drinks in anticipation of the evening's pleasures.
"You strike me as someone who can appreciate gin - am I right, my darling?" Gwyn's piping voice came from the other room, reappearing with a beaming smile and an armful of options regardless. "We can work our way up, though. You simply cannot prepare properly for a party if you're sober." On a silver tray on top of the covers he set down two mismatched glasses, pouring Briar a generous helping of champagne now that all the other enticing options were cluttered onto his bedside table. He'd already made decent headway through his own blood-tinged cocktail. "Drink up, dear. Then I want to take a look at what they've smeared onto your lovely face. I'd bet I could do better..."
