im home for winter break! have a comic assignment i did

His concert was fun but it was also a bit emotional because he talked about a song called ‘Raised by Bats.’ The song isn’t about Batman, it’s about him. Voltaire was bullied as a child. People would spit in his mouth, tell him to go kill himself and were just all around terrible. It wasn’t until he discovered some people dressed up as characters from Rocky Horror Picture Show, did he feel accepted. They saw him at a diner and told him to come to sit with them. He found his people thanks to RHPS and was able to also realize he could have friends. He considers his fans to be his family aka the bats.

What I’m getting at here is I think one of the reasons media becomes so important to us is that it helps us find out bats. It can help us find out people and then we end up being less lonely. We find people who will love us despite being weird and strange.
