Although the majority of Downsville's Fall Festival seemed rather boring and stupid, Adam had to admit that one part of it didn't seem as boring as the rest. The haunted house and zombie apocalypse part of the festival. He was pretty sure that they would be just as bad as the rest, judging by how humans saw the supernatural, glittering, ugly and all that. But he wanted to see how bad they would be and who knew, maybe he'd get a good laugh out of it. That and it seemed like the right place to start showing people what real vampires were like. Looking at the blonde next to him, Gwens blood still on his chin and neck, he raised an eyebrow. "Ready to 'die of fright'?" he asked, quoting the sign next to the tent.

“I bet you I can eat more pies than you in five mintues.” Lance’s words came with a certain confidence that had not been there in the last couple of days. Since his bruises had gone, and his mind had eased, he had somewhat regained some of his confidence back --- at least around those he was comfortale with. (And yes, this was to say that he was comfortable around Justin.) “I bet on my body and my soul.”

The pie eating contest was about to start soon, so Lance would soon have to make his words come to life --- if Justin so took on the offer, that was. If Justin was game, Lance was willing to prove himself. A bashful smile came from him --- as it so often was when it came to Justin --- as he looked to the master of the ceremony calling for contestants. “What do you say? Dare challenge me?”

Gwen dismissed the thought with a wave of her hand and watched a couple of children run by with their costumes on. The festival seemed to brighten up the place and bring out the residents. There were lights and pumpkins, it just felt like fall. She, of course had to dress up as a witch herself, but it was the more traditional version that most supernatural wixes knew of. It wasn’t too crazy like the poofy skirt ones with pointy hats. It was more of a doll collared dress with a robe depicting their ability with designs. Hers of course was a black lace design of smoke on a white robe, since smoke was typically associated with death or necromancy in the wix world.

There was something strange about the event, something peculiar. Haneul Song could always tell when things were bound to get strange, after all; it was maybe because she was so strange that she could sense the strangeness around her. (This was, of course, a theory. There was no way Haneul could know strange things simply because she was strange, but she thought she could.) Or, well, she could sense strange when strange was happening. And, right now, she sensed it.

Maybe it was not her immediate location that was experiencing the strange at the moment; maybe it was somewhere else. But, there was a line at a particular booth, even though the event was just starting --- and this, if anything, was strange. The event had only just begun, and already people had flocked to this particular strange booth.

Haneul being Haneul naturally had to check the place out.
