I stopped by the ball field today, the sun was strong and the day hazy, hot and humid. Quite a few folks of all ages were watching the game (ultimately a 4-4 tie). I don't know a whole lot about baseball but I love the history of it here in Massachusetts- Fenway, the Red Sox and the 133-year-old Cape League. It can only be a positive for the kids watching to hear each player's college announced as they come up to bat. Currently, there are 306 alumni playing professional baseball and over 1,000 alumni in all levels of the game.
