Brewmaster Jack Ambrewsia
This Massachusetts-based brewery did a tasting not too long ago at my local beer and wine store (Ball Square Fine Wines in Somerville), and when I saw this bottle in the shop this week it really caught my eye. My wife says it looks like it belongs in a Wes Anderson movie. The alcohol content is in range for a standard IPA but the IBUs are pretty high at 80 -- I was expecting it to be pretty bitter -- but this was a nice surprise.
a: i’m not generally a fan of hoppy beers but this one is really drinkable. it’s very smooth and not bitter to me, and i taste a lot of mango undertones, which kev tell me is probably the mosaic hops :)
k: I'm really impressed by this brew. It has complexity without overdoing any aspect and is really enjoyable. The mix of hops hits many notes. I will be getting this one again.
