Krex glided lopsidedly through the sky. At this point he was quite a distance from Ancestral Steppe. Despite this, he didn’t dare look back for fear that doing so would somehow slow himself down; either that, or if there was a slim chance he was followed he didn’t want to seem suspicious. He was growing exceedingly exhausted, and the pain in his tail and spine had erupted into a burning sensation at this point. However, he could see his target just a few yards away, a rocky cave surrounded by a grove of trees. He gritted his teeth as he pushed his body through the fatigue, feeling darkness creep on the edge of his vision.

No. No! Just a little further…

The Ash Kecha’s body could take the strain no longer, as he plummeted out of the sky; crashing into the ground just outside the grove of trees.
