the confession

when you say "i love you," it carries the whole weight of your heart. it feels like closing your eyes and stepping off a cliff. maybe you've been planning to tell them for days now, or maybe it's just slipped out without you realizing, either way, it was inevitable. it's relief and dread all at once, it's mortifying yet hopeful. the words hang heavy and suspended in the air, thick enough to choke on, a brief and perilous moment against the mortal pull of gravity.

HEIGHT:  6′6.

CLOTHING STYLE:  tends to wear leather almost everywhere except pants, where he wears denim. he tends to be overdressed at most occasions, feeling out-of-place if he appears messy. Clothes tend to not be wrinkled and his button downs are tucked in properly. 

BEST PHYSICAL FEATURE:  He himself would say that his best physical feature is his gaze, from how expressive he is he can carry or end a conversation through how he reacts without being verbose.

BIGGEST PET PEEVE: sudden loud noises, because he tends to get alarmed quickly due to how sharp his senses are.

AMBITIONS FOR THE FUTURE: To study all forms of necromancy out there, and hopefully open up an institute using the museum as the starting point. He sees no point in learning everything and hoarding it if he cannot share all that he knows with others who are just as curious.

FIRST THOUGHTS WAKING UP:   I need coffee.

WHAT THEY THINK ABOUT MOST:   honestly he thinks about his work the most, because before he met anyone else like friends or close acquaintances, he had his work and so he begins thinking about research and goes to bed with that in mind. 

WHAT THEY THINK ABOUT BEFORE BED:  Okay so it’s not just research, but he mentally makes up a romantic scenario in his mind before he goes to bed. It gives him a proper night’s rest, he believes. 

WHAT THEY THINK THEIR BEST QUALITY IS:   His unyielding support and willingness to give his all to see the other shine.

SINGLE OR GROUP DATES:  Single dates, he thinks group dates always end up being awkward. But if he had to go on one, it is only to make his partner happy.

TO BE LOVED OR RESPECTED:   Both, because he thinks one cannot actually love you if they do not respect you, and you are respected because you did something that caused another to like you.

BEAUTY OR BRAINS:  Brains.

DOGS OR CATS:   Cats, but he is okay with dogs.

LIE:   White lies, yes. He would do so to protect someone’s feelings because he does fear being too blunt. But most of the time people are surprised Brent is telling the truth because most of the time he does say the truth anyway, but it sounds like a lie from how outrageous it is.

BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES:  He is working on it, but nowadays he believes in himself more than ever.

BELIEVE IN LOVE:  He sees that love lasts for a long time and through evidence alone he believes in love.

WANT SOMEONE: Always.

BEEN ON STAGE:  yes, once he went to a bar and they took his car keys and he was told he can get them back if he did a proper stand-up routine. It goes to show that when Brent has enough of an incentive, he can actually pull off doing something he never did before, because he just wanted to get the hell out of there. 

CHANGED WHO THEY WERE TO FIT IN:  Several times Brent tried to be who he was not and he did it solely because he wanted to fit in. Whether it was the way he would approach people or the way he appeared, the attempt to try something new backfired because he knew he did not do it for the right reasons. Brent realized he did not need to fit in, because he was fine the way he is.

Aura Absorption

aura-  luminous radiation that surrounds a person or object, also known as life force.

Aura is the energy formed from one's achievement of spiritual power through extreme mental focus and strong emotions. Users of this power can increase their natural abilities, attract and repel another person's aura, sense the aura, and project it. Different types of aura are located in various parts of the physical body, such as the forehead, spine, throat, heart, and stomach. The power of the aura also changes with one's mood.

One of the ways Brent manipulates aura is through having the ability to absorb it.  He can absorb auras, while removing it from the source, into their body and use it in various ways, gaining some form of advantage, either by enhancing themselves, gaining the drained power, using it as power source etc., either temporarily or permanently.

By absorbing aura that is gained through spiritual means, it can be a form of power absorption.
