Today we have 4 eggs in the nest and the Societys are so close to burry them selves in nesting materials. I don't know why they didn't choose any of the finch nesting boxes, they even have a coconut but ok. They prefer freestyle nests.

5 days old, they grow so fast
My societys laid their first egg. I'm soo excited for the tiny peeps coming. I hope they are fertile so far ive doesn't seen chocolate mounting any of the hens...
My diamonds are totally focused now on breeding. Maple layd her first egg. These two will be great parents.
I think my societys going to lay eggs soon.

I had to remove the nest. For some reason all following eggs where infertile, and the 3 chicks that have hatched died with the same day. I think I've been wrong on their genders. I think the two crests are actually male and female instead of two females, just one of them not singing... The big problem, crest is a dominant gene and crossing this to an other crest will bring only dead babies due it's a lethal factor.... I will watch them a little longer to see who will stay for breeding, so far id like to keep an other male..
The babies hatched on eastern as well 🐶
The others are now a week old, waiting for their colors to come through
