I am stupidly excited that my breeding project to get a caramel-black-maize female goes into high gear this week. Starting tomorrow, I have four breeding pairs in a row going on the nest, who either have some chance at getting that combination, or at least a decent chance of getting me an interim dragon who I’ll have a much better chance of breeding her from.
The four pairs are, in order:
Lucia and Breiries - have a 1 in 24 chance of getting an intermediary dragon with the caramel and maize, while the secondary will only be 1 to 3 slots off from black. This is Breiries’ second try at breeding an intermediary.
Naris and Zei - 1 in 26 chance of producing a sand-black-maize, which is just 1 off from my end goal
Caiatis and Midget - 1 in 14 chance of producing the right colours, so a 1 in 28 once gender is included. Midget is an intermediary dragon bred as part of this project, and is sand-black-cream (1 off, on the mark, and 1 off from the desired colours).
Alastrina and Aleix - 1 in 30 chance of getting the right colours, or a 1 in 60 once gender is included. Up until I bred Midget, Aleix was my best chance of getting the right result, since he has the black-maize nailed and his fire primary is only 4 off from caramel. He’s also the one I’m most tempted to throw in hibernal afterwards as a souvenir of this project.
Still have to wait until the end of the week before I actually get to see the results starting to hatch, but... SQUEEEE!!!
