What's your opinion on appaloosas as a breed? I've been considering getting one as my first horse (when I have the space and funds to care for it properly), and I hear they're fairly level headed and sensible as a general rule.
i call them spookaloosas for shits and giggles. I actually havenβt had many experiences with Appies, I always wanted one as a kid though. The occasional few we have worked on at work havenβt been the best to be worked on, very flighty and sensitive when it comes to needles (common in horses that are color bred though) I rode one for years named Spice who was incredibly difficult to handle for a lesson horse haha Β I think it just depends on the horse and how itβs been handled, much like Arabs and other breeds.Β
