Remember that little warning in the front of NES instruction manuals? The one that pleaded with you to take a break for fifteen minutes every two hours (that I certainly never listened to and you probably didn't either, if you're as ancient as me)? Turns out – you should definitely do that if you're sound editing a fiction podcast. Because your ears get tired! And you start making bad / bland decisions for mixing and editing.
Take a break! Jog a little, do the dishes, stare at the wall, ponder mortality, whatever - just give your ears and brain a moment so they can start hearing things again!
