Fenton children organise ghost rights protest!
While the original understanding of their involvement was just to take part, we have found that Jasmine and Daniel Fenton actually organised the whole ghost rights protest.
When asked they were involved, the two children openly admitted to organising the event, having made posters, banners, preparing a speech and writing up the goal and demands of the protest. They strongly believe that ghosts should be given the right to freely move in our world without the fear of hunting or experimentation.
"We get that they're technically dead but can you really tell they aren't alive anymore? These are people. Yes, they're different but they still have feelings and think the same as we do. They don't deserve to live in fear."
The two, particularly Jasmine, went on to talk about ghosts and their beliefs that ghosts are no more different than humans, refuting most of what their parents, Madeline and Jack Fenton of Fentonworks, have said about ghosts. When asked why their views on ghosts differ so much from their parents, they told us that they talked to ghosts!
"Isn't the best way to understand people to talk to them? Ghosts are just people with a different culture really. They're interesting and diverse people."
When our interviewer noted that Jasmine seemed to be leading most of the conversation, they asked Daniel Fenton specifically how he felt about ghosts, especially because of his fear of ghosts.
"I think ghosts can be good and bad. The same way humans are good and bad. I'm not saying we forgive everything the ghosts have ever done, obviously there are some problems. But I just think there are better ways to go about this. And none of them involve dissection or ripping them apart molecule from molecule."
After hearing their children were at the protest, Madeline and Jack Fenton arrived at the scene not long after. Unfortunately, they were unable to get through the crowd to their children due to them having gone up the steps to give their speech. We asked if they knew of their children's opinions on ghosts and Jack Fenton had this to say:
"I can't believe they'd do something like this! After everything we've taught them! I don't know where they got the idea that ghosts are people of all things but as soon as they get home we are going to have a vey serious conversation."
Madeline Fenton in particular was most worried about them talking with other ghosts. Even believing that perhaps her children are being manipulated or overshadowed by a ghost.
"This isn't like them. Especially Danny. Jasmine has never been a fan of our work but she would never go against us like this."
Having spoken to the Ghost Investigation Ward (GIW), the two parents have come to the conclusion that their children are most likely not overshadowed but perhaps simply manipulated by a ghost. With the event being mostly lead by the older sibling, Jasmine, the general consensus is that she is being manipulated and is then dragging her young impressionable brother along with her.
