Hei/Hello
Hei everyone, I am Amalie and I have just made my Writeblr blog. I am 22 years old and I come from Norway. I am thinking about doing NaNoWriMo this year, but not 100% decided. I am also in the middle of moving in with my fiance, so that’s super exiting. things I write are:
Fantasy
Romance
LGBTQA+
Adventure
Action
Found Family
New Adult
I am looking forward to meeting other Writeblrs, learning about others projects and encouraging those with writers block. unless I get it myself :D I am just really happy with having made the decision to start talking to other writers.
If you wanna talk, then you more than welcome to Follow, Ask, message, chat and/or @ me.
A Modern Pilgrim's Guide to Hell Chapter 4 is UP! (spoiler alert: they're still in hell)
If link doesn't work, let me know, otherwise enjoy.
@a-resplendent-mushroom @walkthruthewords i forget who else was enjoying this
🫘 Spill the beans. What's a new project you're doing this year?
This kinda ties in with your other asks, but I have two answers for that, so yay bonus content (lmao)
so writing-related project means exploring my hand at writing Christmas hallmark romance fiction, a genre I don't particularly enjoy consuming (only with friends, specifically to make fun of the tropes).
So why would I do this?
Because the hands of some supernatural force gripped the very fibers of my being and told me to create a prompt based on the very town I called my home away from home with the people I adore so very much and the lore and the history was the perfect setting. And now it lives in my head rent free.
Do i have any concrete ideas with this project? nope. i keepbrainstorming and coming up with nothing that I like (I hate romance genre tropes I'm really not the best person to write this) but I know the place so I can learn to write hallmark romance tropes.
How does a work shift last forever
How does a manager never die?
It is money I must hold on to
Never easy, but I try.
Sometimes a coworker is acquired
Sometimes the lines are not as long
Really all I need is coffee
And I'll be strong

for the WIP game,
The Room
So this was my attempt at supernatural/horror thriller genre but I am not big into horror so…it’s really not scary. It’s like….idk an attempt was made. Unsettling but more of a nails on a chalkboard kind of way.
"Thank you for coming Ms. AshleyRose. We're really grateful for your participation."
"I saw your ad in the paper, and I was very much intrigued." I nodded and sat down in a plush leather chair in front of a desk owned by D.S. Stein.
As if the earlier introductions hadn't been enough, the letters shined off an embossed name plate. The area was tidy, everything strictly in a logical place save a small black notebook that Stein almost hid underneath his large arms.
The left corner of his scarred mouth twisted into an amiable smirk. "Good, good. I'm glad to see our high marketing fees are paying off."
"So from what I understand, all I need to do is remain in an empty room for twenty-four hours and you give me five hundred dollars?" Too good to be true. I crossed my arms. Whatever. We need this money.
"Essentially, yes. It's for a very important clinical study about how the mind works with no distractions." The other half of Stein's mouth curled up to finish the smile. "This is satisfactory to you, yes?"
I shrugged with a scoff. "Sounds like the easiest five hundred bucks anyone's ever given me."
"I will admit we have quite a few people come in with the mindset that this is all a scam." The smile faded as Stein pushed out the black notebook.
"My two aunts were very concerned about the possibility."
"Family is very wonderful like that."
I nodded.
"Well, with all our niceties out of the way, may I begin with a few precursory questions before your interview? It won't take long."
"I guess. What sort of qualifications do you need to sit alone in a room for 24 hours?"
"You may be surprised. All you need to start an asylum is an empty room and the right kinds of people." He smirked again, but this time it gave off a strange feeling.
So. I am almost there!
Let me take on my true form!!
One note is a meanie!
I had to check my note which I keep in onenote, only to find that my WHOLE outline in there to my main Wip was just GONE!!
I managed to get it back by logging off my Microsoft account on phone and going into onenote there and then copying it from there. Since when I went on my old laptop to check if it was still there was I asked to log in and then the outline notebook just became blank when I went out of it.
I have never been that ready to just scream and give up.
So I am super glad that I got my outline back or else I would have to make a new one, and then I would lose so much world building and names and everything. but now it is all double backed up!
Tl:Dr: Lesson for the day. always have a backup, cause you can not trust anything to not suddenly delete your stuff apparently.
