Kazama—the name came up time and time again. He had acquired ancient artifacts, cursed objects, information…his client was more of the same, but the job itself was intriguing. He was never one to turn down a challenge, especially not when the reward was handsome and success meant he’d be in the good graces of a literal devil.

For someone so well known, he’d thought she’d have better security. Or…had security for that matter. Remy had made short work of them the moment he’d climbed in through her hotel window, but she wouldn’t find that out until she discovered them in unconscious heaps in her bathtub.

HAH!! Take THAT Ichigo!! Now she gets to share even more embarrassing childhood stories with your future wife.

A sinful night shared between the two, or rather it was another sinful night shared between them. It was becoming something of a habit, they’d meet, talk, possibly eat and before the day’s end they would find themselves in the confines of a love hotel (to be discreet) and that’s the rest of the date. Yusuke knew the dangers that his life would bring to her, and of course, there’s the fact of being in the public eye when it came to being with Hanamaru in the first place.

But after what she said, could he disregard exactly how difficult a life together would be?? The-soon-to-be ex yakuza and the beautiful and talented model? A duo romanticized in so many novels, now the two of them were actually traversing through that very life. Taking in what Hanamaru had said..it causes Yusuke to take a breath before exhaling. “For the sake of your safety..maybe that’s jus’ the way it should be.” That’s when he turned his gaze to meet her own. 

The words that were spoken were..stoic at best, but the look on his face told a different story. Yusuke was smiling, genuinely smiling. “But I can say the same thing…don’t get me wrong, Bluebird it’s great sex, there’s even an animal side t’ me that ya find some way t’ soothe if that doesn’t sound strange. It might have sounded like a metaphor from her perspective but there is some truth to his statement..around her, the urge to consume just..fades, it became soo much easier to fight without the need of a cigarette.
