It hurts but it doesn’t. He feels the pain, but dully, like he’s not entirely there in his body. Then again, the nerves in his body were slowly deteriorating so that could have something to do with it.
How cruel life could be. For a man so dedicated to his hobby, knowing anything and everything about the plants in his garden, it was quite an ironic way to go. He took every measure to protect himself and ti wasn’t enough. Done in by a hole in his glove so tiny that the chance of the Tentactula biting down and sinking its fangs in was just as small. But it happened, and now he is prone in the backyard with venom coursing through his veins, staring up at the sky.
A pleasant sight to see just before one dies, he thought. I love you, Minerva.
