And there are expected ways of acting when inside another ghost story’s domain- that in part is dictated by the guest entity’s power in relation to the host’s- as we can see from a lot of Braun’s comments and also how certain stories are made to receive visitors

Then there’s also overpowering another ghost story, by forcing them to assimilate with yours, which is- presumably- a way to gain more power as a story (see mermaids grave and the blue dragon)

So what I’m putting forward is: that allowing the autonomy of another entity in your domain and vice versa is a show of respect to ghost stories (one they do not reserve for humans)

Now then what would it mean if you didn’t just allow the visit of another entity while they maintained autonomy, but invited them to remain permanently in your domain without them having to give up their unique identity?

Wouldn’t that be the ultimate show of respect and wish for connection with that entity? To become a joint story, that works both parts of what makes each domain special together, and create a new (better) whole, rather than the more powerful story simply dominating and assimilating the weaker one to make their singular identity stronger?

Couldn’t that be considered, in human terms, a life promise to exist together and make things work even where there’s conflict?
