A view down Market Street from next to the new Boots building (now the benefits & job centre building).
On the right is the new Fleece Hotel building after the demolition of the original. It later went on to become various nightclubs including NTK and Brannigans.
The ever-popular Brannigans bar on Market Street which resided in the former Savoy Cafe building (with Savoy Bowling above which went on to become Super Bowl).
Today the building is occupied by Revolution bar with Brannigans relocating next door in the former NTK building.
On the Promenade looking towards the famous Roberts Oyster Rooms before demolition works start on an ageing parade of shops & cafes (dated to 1835 according to the signage) to make way for a modern commercial outlet that would go on to become the Savoy Bowl & Savoy Cafe (later becoming Super Bowl & Brannigans) - which still has been covered up in scaffolding since 2017!
