'Urban Soldier' by Okuda. Acrylic and spraypaint on canvas.
I’m honored to have been invited to participate in Brand Library + Art Center’s next exhibition “Neighborhood Ecology”, curated by Stephanie Sherwood, opening January 31st.
As I understand it, the show is intended to be a love letter of sorts to SoCal, its many unique regions and neighborhoods, celebrating the spirit of community.
I contributed a video installation focused on the Oceanwide Plaza graffiti towers, comprised of aerial footage collected from a dozen visits over the past two years, which will be on display next to works from an impressive roster of artists. Check it out if you can.
