Hi - it’s March 1st for another 1/2 hour - thought I’d participate this year in #marchmeetthemaker One Crafty Mess - that’s my brand. It’s pretty basic I’m a messy girl. I craft in a 12x12 space even though I have a 4 foot desk area - I usually have all the things I want to use surrounding me. But to be clear I am also a messy cook. I seem to use at least 3 pans and all the knives for every dinner meal and forget about the stove 🤫 I chose the name ONE CRAFTY MESS mostly because I make a bunch of different things as you can see in my feed. I’m a big believer in documenting everyday life so my main joy is making scrapbooks and recently got back into painting wood, mostly small things for your tiered trays. Fun is a Necessity started in 2011 (10 years ago!) with a blog I used to keep in touch with family while attending a traveling expeditionary whitewater kayaking boarding school (Yep, you read that right. Go ahead, ask me about it—the stories are as delightful—it was a combo of feeling like a Nat. Geo. correspondent, a cast member on a ridiculous slice of life comedy, and a teenager who just wanted a hot shower, a candy bar, and fast, functional wifi).
