Brain Feed Announcement
Now that I'm finally on break and my schedule has started to normalize, I'm redirecting my attention to a more in-depth understanding of entrepreneurship with a focus on social entrepreneurship.
Over the next week, I'll be reading Jacqueline Novogratz's The Blue Sweater. A few things really stuck out to me while doing my research on this book.
It's written by a person who is an active practitioner of social entrepreneurship today
She started out as an idealist and with assumptions of how to tackle poverty
She made a leap-of-faith journey for answers and real understanding of what she was hoping to tackle--poverty

Brain Feed: A Stanford Special
It’s free! Sweet music to my ears. I just got the confirmation for the online courses I registered for. Next semester, Stanford will be imparting knowledge on a myriad of subjects, such as Technology Entrepreneurship, Making Green Buildings, and The Lean Launchpad (Steve Blank is teaching this!)--just to name a few.
From the looks of it, students enrolled in many of these courses don’t have to have much of a background in the subjects, the courses tend to be self-contained (you don’t have to break the piggy bank for additional textbooks), you can learn at your own pace, and you can get tangible affirmation of having completed the course.
